It's OK Thursday

Happy Thursday! Or as the kids call it, Thirsty Thursday. I'm enjoying my first glass of wine all week. I mentioned that I, along with my husband, have been detoxing to try and shed some weight before "the race." In our house, that means no drinking Sunday through Wednesday. Thursdays are optional, depending on the day, and trust me, it's been that kind of day.

I feel like I've been having lots of "those days" lately. What's up with that? My husband always tell me that I tend to carry the weight of the world when I don't need to, and I'll be the first to admit that he's right. I fret over things that aren't my problem, or that aren't a big deal. It causes unnecessary stress in my life, and honestly, I don't need more of that. What I know though, is that everything always works out. It may not work out the way you thought or the way you wanted, but everything ends up OK.

That brings me to today's theme, a link up with Neely for It's OK Thursday!

Its Ok Thursdays

It's OK...

To not have plans for the weekend. Relaxing is good for the soul.

To miss a workout, eat that piece of pizza, have that extra glass of wine or indulge in a candy bar.
YOLO, ya'll!

To fail, as long as you tried.

To have a "healthy" obsession with TV.

To laugh at yourself and your own jokes.

To have an opinion that's different from someone else's.

To wear the same jeans for 7 days straight.
Right?

To apologize and admit that you were wrong.

To have forgotten that the sun was a star.
(Oh gimme a break, it's been at least 100 years since I learned that shit.)

To sometimes have multiple Diet Coke's and coffees in one day.

To cry, bitch and rant once in awhile. It just feels good.

To Facebook stalk your husband's ex.
(Husband says this is not OK. I don't do it anymore. That much.)
To have those days where you just want to be with Mom or Dad.

To watch 'The Lucky One' by yourself with a glass of wine, in your bathrobe, lusting after Zac Efron...but who would be doing that on a Thursday night?

What's OK with you this week?

P.S. Should I add Zac to my Top Five?

  1. Love these! I just have a few comments,

    1. Jeans get better with age and this age can only occur if you wear them regularly, as in daily!

    2. I don’t ever remember leaning that the sun was a star, but come to think of it I don’t really remember learning how to spell either. Damn you Kirkwood Elementary!

    3. Zac Efron is a stud; he should be on everyone’s top five. With this being said, this is a big statement for me to make. I usually only allow men over the height of 6’ on my top five, but for Zac I will allow it!

  2. Rach I might have to join your detox idea :) Being home all day has caused me to give in to Todd's beer drinking habits at night :) And I agree with all with the exception of Zac...he's 5.

  3. Oh man, jeans you can wear pretty much forever without washing, they're good like that. As for facebook stalking the husband's ex...I only check once in a while, just to see how things are going. :P

    1. I am so happy I've gotten one positive comment re: Facebook stalking the ex! It's not like I do it all the time, or because I even really care. It's like you said, I just want to check in to see how things are going. :) Thanks for visiting, I hope you'll come back!
